Hello and welcome to Kerry Devine Law, LLC.

I started my firm in 2022 to provide personal legal counsel and concierge estate planning services to families in New Jersey and New York. I enjoy working with my clients to create high quality, customized estate plans meticulously designed especially for their individual circumstances.

I love meeting with clients and learning all about their family situations and their estate planning goals. We discuss the importance of estate planning and how the probate process works in New Jersey or New York. Whatever issues and concerns families are worried about, we work together to find solutions for achieving peace of mind and protecting their loved ones.

My background as a paralegal, an artist, and a mother of five has made me a very organized and compassionate lawyer with a keen eye for detail, a creative flair, and an ability to solve problems and adapt to ever-changing circumstances. My experience as a litigation attorney prepared me to recognize issues before they arise, so I can help clients plan for the future and avoid potential problems through proper planning. 

After graduating from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts with a B.A. in Philosophy and a concentration in Studio Art, I started my legal career as an aviation litigation paralegal at Byrne, Kiely and White in Denver, Colorado, and then pursued a  J.D. at Villanova University School of Law. During law school, I worked as a law clerk at the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office; interned for New Jersey Supreme Court  Justice Daniel J. O'Hern; and earned a position on the Villanova Entertainment Law Journal. After law school, I practiced environmental litigation at Carpenter, Bennett and Morrissey in Newark, New Jersey, where I represented corporate clients in both environmental compliance and complex litigation matters. I'm admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. Because I strive to offer my clients the most comprehensive estate planning possible, I am currently pursuing an L.LM. in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center.

I live in Monmouth County, New Jersey with my husband Donald and our five children, three dogs, and two cats. In addition to practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and reading. I'm a lifelong student of oil and watercolor painting; French language and culture; and the practice of yoga for wellness and light.
